Meredith Maki
Travel Specialist, Agency Owner

Meredith is the owner and founder of Inspirely Travel LLC. She has a true love of all things Disney and it shows with every magical vacation she plans.

Meredith lives in South Carolina with her husband, Bob, and three sons, Griffin, Graeme and Grey, who all share her love of Disney.  She was also raised by an over-the-top “Disney Dad” and visited Walt Disney World several times a year growing up.

To this day, every time Meredith rides Pirates of the Caribbean, she thinks about her dad the entire time.  While waiting in line for the ride, he used to sing “yo ho yo ho a pirate’s life for me” in the loudest, deepest voice he could muster - just to embarrass the kids.  It worked every time. Today, Meredith tried to embarrass, errr “make memories,” for her own children each time they visit Walt Disney World!

Magical Tidbits…

  • Favorite Disney Memory When my oldest son, Griffin, was four years old we enjoyed a magical stay at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. After a full day in the Magic Kingdom we returned to the resort to take advantage of the fabulous 5pm Royal Palm Club Level offerings!  When we walked in, the live orchestra in the lobby was playing “You’ve Got a Friend In Me.”  My four-year old grabbed my hand and we danced out in the center of the lobby in front of everyone! As the song concluded, strangers cheered and clapped for us!  My Boy Mama heart will never ever forget that moment!

  • Must Do The top item on my must-do list is staying at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, of course with access to the Old Faithful Club and enjoying at least one drink at Geyser Point overlooking Bay Lake. It’s truly an immersive experience and feels like home every time I step through the doors.  The cast members know me by name and they are all considered members of my extended family.

  • Favorite Time to Travel Mother’s Day!  Take being in the parks with the “mini Maki’s” that made me a mom, add in the gorgeous spring flowers at the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival, and that’s my definition of a perfect day.

  • Favorite Quick Service At a resort, I’d have to say Geyser Point located at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge (order the bison burger) or 3 Bridges, located at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort (order the shrimp corn dogs.) In a park, hands-down it’s Yak and Yeti located at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.  Get an order (or two) of the chicken fried rice; you’ll thank me later!

  • Favorite Character Dining I love ‘Ohana at the Polynesian for breakfast.  During breakfast, you’re greeted by Lilo and Stitch, have a photo opp with Pluto and Mickey, and can enjoy bottomless plates of Polynesian-themed fare.  Plus, who doesn’t enjoy a little dancing during breakfast -- my kids love to dance between bites to get the wiggles out!  (Must try the POG juice!)

  • Favorite Spot to Capture a Magical Photo On the bridge to Tomorrowland!  The blue and grey theming in the background is part of my favorite color palate.  Be on the lookout for a PhotoPass Photographer too, so you can get your own picture under the new sign!
