Christina Edwards
Travel Specialist

Christina became a travel agent after a recent trip to Disney when she realized how instrumental her travel planner was to the success of her trip. With that knowledge, along with her strong attention to detail and enthusiasm for travel, she knew she needed to begin a new journey as a travel specialist.

Christina knows how it feels to put off a vacation because the thought of planning it is too stressful. She’s eager to help families know “all the things” so they have the best getaway that’s perfectly tailored for them.

Christina lives in Durham, North Carolina with her husband, Sterling, two kids, Grayson and Caroline, and their dog, Josie. She enjoys tackling DIY projects around the house, volunteering at her kids’ school, and of course, traveling.

Magical Tidbits…

  • Favorite Disney Memory I seem to always have a new favorite memory every time I go, but my most recent trip included my kiddos, who were first-timers. Our first park day was Magic Kingdom—we were going for impact. I was standing at the gates with my two kids, waiting for my husband to go through a bag check. I remember looking at them and thinking, they have no idea what’s in store for them. The magnificence of the parade, the excitement of the rides, the smell of the popcorn—they are about to experience all those Disney details for the very first time. This brief moment of reflection made me appreciate the wonder and the magic of truly seeing the world through the eyes of a child.

  • Must Do You must ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind! This is by far the best thrill attraction I have ever experienced. It’s the first of its kind at Disney with a reverse-launch and vehicles that rotate 360° so you don’t miss any of the action! The music brings it all home with an interchanging playlist—we were lucky to jam out to “Conga” by Miami Sound Machine!

  • Favorite Time to Travel My favorite time to visit Disney is in the spring. Of course the Florida weather is more comfortable during this time, and you may even get lucky and have a cool day, but don’t worry, ALL Disney Resort pools are heated! Spring crowds are manageable since school break times vary, the Flower and Garden Festival at EPCOT is in full “bloom”, and what better way to get through the winter months than with the anticipation and excitement of an upcoming Disney trip!

  • Favorite Quick Service There is no way I can limit this to only one spot! My first stop at Magic Kingdom must be for a waffle sandwich at Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Square—hey, it has fruit on it! However, if you’re looking for something a little more hearty, a Ronto Wrap in Galaxy’s Edge is perfect to help you fight against the First Order.

  • Favorite Character Dining Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is the perfect spot to see The Fab Five: Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto. The all-you-care-to-enjoy fare is good, and the atmosphere is quite relaxed. Reservations are difficult to snag because this is the ONLY character dining with the fab five, but there are two dining options: breakfast and dinner. I recommend experiencing this early in your vacation—it gets the kids excited and it relieves some of the pressure to squeeze in all those meet-and-greets.

  • Favorite Spot to Capture a Magical Photo Discovery Island Trails at Animal Kingdom is a quiet, less-traveled spot to snap the perfect photo! The trails are located at the massive Tree of Life, which is not only the main icon for Animal Kingdom, but as Imagineer, Joe Rohde said, “a symbol of the beauty and diversity and the grandeur of our animal life on Earth.” I love to snap photos here to capture some of the beautiful animal carvings with less people in the background.
