Magical Tidbits…

  • Favorite Disney Memory The first time I rode Seven Dwarfs Mine Train with my oldest son was magical! To this day it’s my favorite ride. The magical photos and video that came with our Memory Maker to commemorate it are so special to me. The experience begins with an interactive game while you wait sorting and washing gems and a surprise of glowing stones all around you. Once you are ready to ride “Heigh-Ho” begins to play and you go whizzing through a dark cave with illuminated jewels all around. The animatronics are awesomely modern and the 7 Dwarfs are so cute, especially Dopey when he pops up with jewels for eyes. Then, you find yourself speeding down the hill and around the turns with just enough take-your-breath-away moments that everyone can enjoy.

  • Must Do Getting a Caricature Portrait Artist outside Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort to draw you and your family is such a great keepsake to have. The artist captures your likeness in a fun way and knows how to keep a child’s attention just long enough. It’s special to our family because on our honeymoon, my husband and I found a caricature artist on the street in Santorini, Greece to draw our likeness and it’s one of my favorite things. To be able to create a similar memory at Walt Disney World with my family was just icing on the cake!

  • Favorite Time to Travel to Disney Spring is my favorite time to visit Disney World because the plants and flowers are gorgeous! Epcot is full of beautiful topiaries which make great photo opportunities too. The temperature is warm without being too hot, but you get the full benefit of the Florida sunshine. You can enjoy a day at the pool, get soaked on Splash Mountain, or catch a British Revolution concert in the World Showcase at Epcot.

  • Favorite Quick Service Spot Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom is my favorite quick service spot… one word...QUESO! And also, all the yummy Tex-Mex goodness packaged in an Old West saloon...can you really have too much nostalgia, cheese or chocolate? I think not! Yellow rice is also one of my favorite childhood foods. For a tasty treat try the sweet, crunchy, cinnamon-y, dipped in chocolate churros.

  • Favorite Character Dining Garden Grill at Epcot is a wonderful way to see Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale. Mickey is dressed in super cute overalls and each character gives individual attention to each table. Breakfast is a tasty way to start the day and enjoy all you can eat family style dining. Selections include Mickey waffles, fruit, bacon, sausage, eggs and cinnamon buns. The super neat thing about this restaurant is it rotates as you dine. Say what?! It moves so slowly you’ll barely notice, making it a meal not to miss!

  • Favorite Spot to Capture a Magical Photo Cinderella’s Castle at Magic Kingdom is the iconic spot to capture your favorite shot. I like to take advantage of the Magic Shots in Memory Maker to enhance my photos with favorite Disney characters allowing me to create unique memories to look back on and share. Tinkerbell usually appears at just the right moment photobombing pictures and adding extra magic.
